A Message from Dr. Krieger
Welcome to our Woodlake Elementary PTA web site.  We are so glad to have you visit to learn about our school and how the PTA supports all that we do everyday.

Our school has about 700 of the sweetest little preschool through third graders in the whole world.  We are very fortunate to have the best parents and community supporters any where.

This year our PTA has helped us accomplish so many things.  Each classroom’s room mom/dad works with their teachers to create learning activities that are hands-on, motivating, and developmentally appropriate for our youngsters.  Our PTA has sponsored many events so far this year, including Art Fiesta Day, family dinner nights at local community sponsors, New Comer and Volunteer teas, Grandparents’ Week, Samaritan Food Drive, Rescuing Recess events, Spruce Up Day, Red Ribbon Week, Storybook Character Dress Up Day, Cafeteria Staff Appreciation Day, Turbo Turtle Race, Reflections Contest, Safety Poster contest, My Louisiana contest, Custodial staff Appreciation Day, Santa’s Secret Shop, Spaghetti Dinner and Basket Auction.  There are many more exciting events planned for the spring.

If you are interested in supporting our PTA, please call our school and we will be glad to share with you the many ways that you can support our local PTA unit.  Did you know that by belonging to our local PTA unit you are supporting the oldest, most respected national child advocacy organization in the country?  A portion of every membership of our Woodlake PTA unit goes to support the efforts of the National PTA.  A few of the ways your membership helps is by providing leadership training to states, districts, and local units, by overseeing trends in education that affect all children, and by keeping the almost 6 million members nationally informed about legislation that affects our schools.

I invite you to contact our webmistress for more information about ways you can support the Woodlake Elementary PTA.  We are dedicated to creating a learning environment where all children reach their potential.
